Introduction
Hi, I am Hanbin Tan (小寒冰), a software engineer with AWS Certified Developer - Associate and Cloud Practitioner certifications. I completed a B.S. in Computer Science at UC San Diego in June 2026 and am pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science through Georgia Tech's OMSCS program, expected June 2028.
I build AI systems, cloud infrastructure, and full-stack products. My recent work includes a beta advising CRM, advisor-reviewed agent prototypes, AWS operational workflows, deterministic evaluation harnesses, and backend systems with explicit security and reliability controls.
I like learning unfamiliar systems through implementation, tests, and measurement. I focus on evidence-backed claims and document the boundary between a prototype, a beta system, and production usage.

- • Translated advising operations into a workflow-driven Next.js, React, and TypeScript CRM for an organization supporting 100+ advisors and 10K+ students, unifying communications, applications, meetings, documents, and next steps.
- • Prototyped an advisor-reviewed agent workflow that summarizes student history, identifies next steps, and drafts follow-ups over structured, role-scoped CRM context.
- • Migrated and reconciled 1,420 linked academic and application records from a legacy Vue/.NET and Aliyun MySQL portal into Convex with Clerk, UploadThing, and Vercel integrations.
- • Added fail-closed authorization, audit events, focused read models, performance telemetry, Playwright browser checks, CRUD E2E, RBAC, route, and API-security test suites.

- • Built multilingual operational workflows across Google Workspace, Twilio, and internal Salesforce, turning spreadsheet, email, PDF, document, and image inputs into traceable intake and outreach records.
- • Developed AWS Lambda microservices behind API Gateway for internal Salesforce and other operational integrations, and maintained SOQL mappings and a multi-class classifier for insurance cross-sell and premium monitoring.
